What is it?

Online debit and credit card processing – Secure ePayments is a product which allows us to accept debit and credit cards on our online E-Furniture Store via the internet. Secure ePayments is HSBC’s payment solution, which makes it easier for genuine customers to buy from us and at the same time, help us protect our business from fraudulent card usage.

This is a secure online service for card payment authorisation and settlement, with up-to-the-minute security features from both Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™ for internet transactions and the additional security of Address Verification Service (AVS) and Card Verification Service (CVS) for Mail and Telephone Orders.

How it works in summary:

(The following is an example of the purchasing process, using HSBC Secure EPayments)

1. You, the customer, access the E-Furniture website, place an order for goods / services by adding them to your shopping basket and proceeds to checkout.
2. Your order is then encrypted. You are then passed to the Secure ePayments server on the HSBC website to complete your card payment.
3. You then provides your card details, which are security checked and verified with your card issuer. Additional card security is provided by both Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™ for all registered cards.
4. Once the order and payment is completed, you will be transferred back to the E-Furniture website, to be issued a receipt and be advised of delivery details.
5. Orders will then be accessed through E-Furnitures administration system that sits behind this facility to check and fulfil your orders.
